Ksoak began with a simple question: why should taking care of yourself come at the cost of the planet? We set out to change that — one sheet at a time.
How It All Began
A walk through a bamboo grove changed everything.
It started with a moment of wonder — standing inside a dense bamboo grove, watching the stalks sway gently in the breeze, growing back almost visibly after each harvest. Here was a plant that gave endlessly, asked for almost nothing, and left the earth better than it found it.
We asked ourselves: what if everyday products — the ones we reach for without thinking — could be made from something this generous? What if tissue paper didn't have to mean deforestation, chemicals, and waste?
That question became Ksoak. We spent years learning the craft of bamboo processing, working to extract the finest fibres from the outer skin of the bamboo stalk — the part that regrows fastest, requires no replanting, and needs no chemicals to become something beautifully soft.
